Story in today's Fresno Bee about a poacher who shot a Mama Bear.
Here's a Mama Bear with her cubs at my place last year. I'm not familiar with High Sierra Ranger Station at Bolsillo Campground but that is where the bear was shot - with an arrow - and left to die. Campers heard her two cubs crying all night and alerted rangers. The rangers managed to capture the 33 lb. male cubs. They were taken to Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care as they are orphan cubs. The public's help is sought to identify the poacher.

Images of Camp Nelson - Snow, Deer, Cabin, and Visitor Dogs
Deer foraging at night in snow. The big yellow lab belongs to a friend. Big lab was visiting. The black dog lives across the road. These pics are with my game camera.
